YMCA of Southern Nevada

The Power Scholars Program is a grant funded afterschool program that assists children who have fallen behind with reaching their academic grade level. Volunteers are needed to assist with field trips & events, engage with the children to encourage a love of learning, and contribute to the social emotional growth of our upcoming generations. In addition to any other responsibilities, YMCA volunteers are expected to support youth protection in the following ways: • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children. • Attend required abuse risk management training (if applicable). • Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising children. • Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. • Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
