Join our snowboarding program for 10-14 year olds and enjoy helping them learn how to ski/snowboard and fall in love with winter sports! Volunteers will be assisting youth over 5 Sundays starting 1/25/26 to learn how to ski/snowboard at Lee Canyon. Each Sunday is a 5-hour volunteer opportunity. Transportation is provided or volunteers may drive themselves. Volunteers must have the ability to walk up and down the mountain slopes. Ability to ski/snowboard is preferred. In addition to any other responsibilities, YMCA volunteers are expected to support youth protection in the following ways: • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children. • Attend required abuse risk management training. • Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising children. • Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. • Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements • Ensure unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker-rooms and bathrooms), etc.
