Halloween at the Y will be held on Wednesday, October 29th from 4-7:30pm at the Centennial Hills library. This event offers families a safe space to enjoy fall festivities while in their Halloween costumes. Haunted harvest, trunk-or-treat, haunted house, and so much more are offered. We rely on volunteers to run booths, games, and activities. Give back to your community by joining us as a volunteer at this fun and festive event! In addition to any other responsibilities, YMCA volunteers are expected to support youth protection in the following ways: • Adhere to policies related to boundaries with children. • Attend required abuse risk management training. • Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising children. • Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations. • Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements • Ensure unused rooms and closets remain locked; routinely monitor high-risk locations (locker-rooms and bathrooms), etc.
